The essentials
Shadow Trainer is designed to work on your phone. Your streak, training sessions and record are stored locally on your device.
Training data
Estimated calories, counted punches and your progress are computed and stored on your device. We do not collect or sell them; the anonymous analytics described below only include basic labels such as the program or a session length.
No account
The app has no user accounts and never asks you to sign in. Your workouts live on your phone; if you delete the app, that data goes with it. You can erase it beforehand from Profile → Delete my data.
Purchases
Payments are processed by Apple; we never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to validate and restore purchases. RevenueCat processes your purchase history (which product, when, and whether it is active) together with an anonymous app user identifier. This data is used only to provide your purchases, is not linked to your identity and is not used for tracking.
Anonymous usage analytics
To understand how the app is used and improve it, the app sends anonymous product-interaction events to a database we operate on Supabase, our cloud provider. Examples: the app was opened, an onboarding step or screen was viewed, the subscription screen was shown, a session was completed, and a purchase was started, completed or cancelled.
Each event contains the event name and short labels (such as the program or a session length), the app version, your device language, a random identifier created when the app is installed, a per-session identifier and an anonymous Supabase sign-in that is not tied to any account. Events never include your name, email, contacts, location, advertising identifier (IDFA) or free-form text.
We use this data only for analytics. It is not linked to your identity, is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites (the app does not use ATT). Deleting the app deletes the random identifier; reinstalling it creates a new one.
